Janice Margolis is a writer, choreographer, and filmmaker in Los Angeles. She has been assistant professor of film at the University of Texas at Austin, and artistic director and choreographer of Semaphore Dance Theater of Boston. Margolis earned an MFA in film from California Institute of the Arts.

Marie-Helene Bertino is a novelist and short story writer. She is the author of two novels, Parakeet (New York Times Editors' Choice) and 2AM at the Cat's Pajamas (NPR Best Books 2014), and one short story collection, Safe as Houses. She has been awarded a Pushcart Prize and an O'Henry Prize for her short stories.
